EXAMPLES OF MY WORK

This is the story of celebrated artist Felicia, whose letterpress printing is held at the Smithsonian and is sought by collectors worldwide. It is a story of resiliency, a=political advocacy and returning home- for all the wrong reasons. 

Last year, I decided it was time to write something about my mother, who I cared for for 14 years during her descent into dementia. The story was picked up by HuffPost and has received lots of praise, particularly from those in the Alzheimer's community. 

Here's a story about how the California budget may impact individuals receiving CalFresh benefits as well as farmers if funding for a Farmer's Market program is not extended 

A great story about a new community member who saw a way to bring some needed cheer to her neighbors during the pandemic- not knowing she'd created an annual event. 

A fascinating story about how a small community is creating solutions  to water shortages by bringing on a high-tech company with a low-tech desalination project.

Another aspect of my work that I am proud of is being the writer for annual holiday fund drives. In 2025, my stories raised over $450,000 for two local food banks.
